DSSI was founded 30 years ago, when our principals recognized the potential of a new technology that was referred to as workflow and would later become known as Business Process Management (BPM). At the time, early adopters of BPM were seeing excellent return on investment and gaining competitive advantage through use of the technology. Our company has been re-engineering and automating processes since 1992 for customers large and small, commercial and government, within departments and across enterprises.

Since our founding, DSSI has supported BPM efforts in a wide range of commercial and government clients. We led an effort to build a BPM infrastructure for the Army DOIM at Ft. Belvoir for over 10 years and have automated numerous processes in support of organizations at Ft. Myer, Ft. A.P. Hill, Ft. Hamilton, Ft. Belvoir, Ft. Meade, and Ft. McNair. We supported the Army Publishing Content Management System (APCMS), an enterprise wide content management system supporting 1.4 million Army users worldwide.
We also led an effort to automate a risk management process for the Army Corps of Engineers to support their risk management process for dams and levees. We have also supported the US Coast Guard in initiating a program to automate their FORECOM-7 STANDREADY process that tests the readiness of the many Coast Guard units deployed worldwide.
